Earlier this week, Microsoft made a significant announcement: on April 21, 2020, our consumer, small and medium business (SMB), and client subscription offerings will be renamed to align to the Microsoft 365 brand. This means that across every segment, Microsoft 365 is our hero product. In SMB, our three Office 365 services SKUs become Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, and Microsoft 365 Business Premium. Our client subscriptions, Office 365 Business and Office 365 ProPlus, become Microsoft 365 Apps, and all of these SKUs join our Microsoft 365 for enterprise SKUs already available today. For each segment, Microsoft 365 delivers the best that Microsoft has to offer, including artificial intelligence (AI)-powered productivity, user and cloud centric experiences, and inherent security.
We believe this naming will make conversations easier with customers.
